My debut novel – The Wolf of Wistman’s Wood – is OUT NOW! It’s available from Amazon in paperback, hardback and ebook, and from most other online booksellers (eg here). You can also buy it from your local bookshop – just ask them to get you a copy.

The story so far…

I was a journalist for ten years, starting in local newspapers before moving to the BBC. I’ve written a book about the weird world of local journalism: “There’s Someone in Reception”. The title refers to the moment when a member of the public walks in with a story to tell – often prompting reporters to dive for cover.

I’ve written fiction for a long time, and I’ve won or been shortlisted for several short story competitions. Now I’ve published by first novel, I’m working on a second – an adventure story set in Antarctica. Find out more about my fiction writing here.

I’m also part of the Dice Company podcast – in which a group of old friends tell epic stories by playing role-playing games including Dungeons & Dragons, Call of Cthulhu and Mothership.
